About us

The Beverley Hammond Dance School has been running for 33 years. We have Branches in Garsfontein and Doringkloof, offering dance lessons to people of all ages and levels. We offer Freestyle, Sokkie, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Modern, Tap, Acrobatics, Dancefit, Ballroom & Latin American and Social Classes, as well as choreography for special occasions such as Weddings, Talent Shows, Performing Arts Festivals and more! All of our teachers are highly qualified and experienced, both locally and internationally. Some of our teachers and dancers have appeared on ‘So You Think You Can Dance’, ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ and ‘Dancing With The Stars’, and we are also proud to have trained many South African Champions as well as World Champions in various styles over the years. 

Dance Lessons at your Function

If you are looking for ideas to entertain your guests, a dance lesson is a great way to get the party started.

We cater for all ages, from kiddies parties, to Hen’s Nights, to 70th birthdays. We teach appropriate dances, depending on age, function and theme. We can use music of your choice or our own.

Providing a Dance Show at your function

The Beverley Hammond Dance School is home to some of South Africa’s best dancers. We can put on a fantastic show to add that extra fire to your function. We can work around your demands including, theme, age groups, musical interests etc.

Combining a show with a dance class

After your guests have been entertained and are now totally in the mood to party, we get them on the dance floor to learn a dance. It can be Salsa, Jive, African, Hip hop, Country, Bollywood….whatever the theme, we can work with it. Give your guests a night to remember by entertaining them and getting them involved. There is no better way to get the party started!
